Sorry for being silent for the last few weeks, but as you could see on my previous post, I have been away.
The place where I’ve been as anticipated is Santorini, a Greek island which is part of the Cyclades. I got there on the 8th of August and what impressed me once I landed was the sun, the heat and the brownish colour of the land. I was surprised to see that the vegetation was different from the mainland of the Mediterraneum, there is no sight of Olive trees and other kind of plants which are familiar to me.
After having settled in the apartment above my friend’s family, I discovered what Santorini had to show. Which was amazing: from the beaches with crystal clear waters, to villages with stunning views because based on the top of the hill.
In particular, the two most suggestive villages are Phia and Oia, where you can see the most beautiful and romantic sunset (there are dozens and dozens of people who gather to all the terraces available to see it!!!).
The villages are really lovely and they remind me of Ostuni, with their white houses and narrow streets. The panorama is breathtaking and I can only imagine how it would be to see it from the endless private balconies of the hotels (some of them with swimming pools). Unbelievable.
